Crossbow

A mechanical ranged weapon that stores energy in its limbs, releasing it to fire a bolt with tremendous force. Crossbows have greater range and stopping power than shortbows, but must be reloaded after each shot. In the hands of an expert, a crossbow bolt can be truly deadly, capable of inflicting grievous injuries.
