Perhaps the most accessible weapon on Roshar — a sturdy length of wood that doubles as a walking stick. Staves are discreet enough to avoid suspicion in polite company and surprisingly effective in trained hands. Scholars, monks, and travelers often carry staves, and an expert staff fighter can use one defensively to deflect incoming blows.
